Mission Statement

To build individual residences, for individual clients. We have a responsibility to the client to ensure their satisfaction and to the business to operate ethically and profitably.

In doing this work our first responsibility is to our customers. By meeting their needs we ensure the success of the business. In meeting our customer’s needs we must do so while operating at a profit. Operating profit supports the long term interests of the client, the staff and the owners of the business.

We are also responsible to each other to perform our allotted tasks to the very best of our abilities. The members believe that ethical principles should support all decisions made in the company. The board undertakes to make careful and considered decisions and to set budgets and broad guidelines for the company to follow. Employees agree to carry out the board decisions to the best of their ability. Board and employees will always seek professional advice on matters about which they are not fully informed.

We treat our customers and each other with respect and dignity. We are all responsible for creating a work environment that is supportive, secure and focused on the task at hand. All employees have the freedom to make mistakes and the obligation to bring them to others attention. All employees are entitled to fair compensation and a clean orderly and safe working environment. The company acknowledges the importance of employees’ family and wider social commitments and will take reasonable steps to allow each employee to meet those commitments. The company must provide adequate resources to each employee to allow them to properly perform their duties and each employee must provide sufficient time, effort and diligence to their tasks.

The company will act to minimize any negative impact from our operations on neighbours and the environment generally. The company accepts that it has obligations to the wider society as well as it’s customers, staff, subcontractors and suppliers. Subcontractors and suppliers, while they work for RiverStone, are to be viewed as part of our team. They should receive respect and support in completing their allotted tasks.

We must never accept that we are operating as well as possible. At all times we will seek to improve the way we carry on our business. We must seek to provide ongoing training and development for all staff. We must seek to keep the business at the forefront of our market sector. We must seek to construct homes of outstanding quality and finish. We will constantly review our specifications, standards and systems with a view to improving our efficiency and effectiveness. We will constantly review our profitability.
